After an incredible result in the FA Cup away at Sutton United, Farnborough must switch their focus back to the League as they host Eastbourne Borough tonight.

The win that sent Farnborough through to the Second Round Proper of the FA Cup was the eighth game unbeaten for Spencer Day’s side who have continued October’s immaculate form through to November.

Farnborough go into the game 19th in the table having not played in the League last weekend, with teams around them gaining points. One of those sides, Eastbourne Borough, were below Farnborough before the games at the weekend but are now in 13th after their first League win in three games.

Day praised Eastbourne Borough‘s experience however believes the away side are “hit and miss” whilst also saying that they are a “great footballing side”.

Day will also be hoping for the returns of Ricky Holmes who broke down in training and Reggie Young who fell really ill on Thursday which ruled them both out of the magical FA Cup win.

Eastbourne Borough played against Cheshunt whilst Farnborough were off in the FA Cup and won 3-0 to bring a run of three league defeats to an end and saw them rise to 13th in the National League South.

Eastbourne Borough manager Danny Bloor has been in charge of his side since November 2019 and has a record of 36 wins, 23 draws, and 30 losses in his 89 games in charge of The Sports.

The last two occasions Farnborough played Eastbourne Borough was all the way back in the 2014/15 season. Farnborough won their home game 2-1, while they recorded a 0-0 draw on the road.

Let’s keep this unbeaten run going, Come on Farnborough!
