Farnborough return to action for the first time in two weeks as they take on Braintree Town in the Third Round Proper of The Isuzu FA Trophy.
This will be The Yellows’ first game since beating Welling United 2-1 at the start of December, with succeeding League games against Taunton Town and Hemel Hempstead Town Postponed.
In the previous Round, Boro edged past Hampton & Richmond Borough 1-0, courtesy of an 88th minute Hisham Kasimu winner.
Braintree Town had a tight 1-0 win over Brackley Town in the Second Round Proper. Midfielder Willie Clemons scored the deciding goal in the fourth minute, while defender Joe Muscatt was sent off in the 75th minute, forcing The Iron to play the final 15 minutes with ten men.
The previous result between the two sides this season took place a month ago, just before the Second Round Proper of the FA Trophy. It was a disappointing 0-0 draw, that helped contribute to the 12-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
Since that result, Braintree Town unbeaten in four games in all competitions with two wins, and two draws. Angelo Harrop’s men currently sit one place outside The Vanarama National League South Play-Off places, however they do have games in hand on the teams around them.
Let’s keep this Trophy run going. Come on Farnborough!
