Farnborough travel to East Sussex this weekend to take on Eastbourne Borough in a pivotal mid-table clash.

Boro leaped above their upcoming opponents in the table on Tuesday evening with a fantastic 2-0 win at Taunton Town.

The win puts The Yellows into the top 10, just six points off the Play-Offs, with four games in hand on 7th placed Braintree Town.

The last match between the two sides was a goalless draw back in November, just after the memorable FA Cup win away at Sutton United. Since then, The Sports have won eight, lost six, and drawn just once.

Speaking after the Taunton Town game, Assistant Manager Leigh Dynan spoke about the difficult test Boro face this weekend: “It’s a cliché, but every game in this League is so tough. They’ll be particularly tough, they’re on a 3G.”

“We’ll go there and I’m sure we’ll give a good account of ourselves, and as long as we put the work rate in, and the desire in the game, I’m sure we’ll be a tough opposition for most teams, I’d like to think.”

Hosts Eastbourne Borough have had a difficult time at home this season, having played 16 games at the SO Legal Community Stadium to date and only winning seven, while losing eight.

Meanwhile, Farnborough’s away form has been one of their strongest aspects this season, with a record of eight wins, three draws and four losses.

Let’s aim to keep this winning run going. Come on Farnborough!
