Farnborough return home as Concord Rangers come to the Easy As HGV Stadium in what could be a pivotal match at both ends of the table.
This fixture was originally supposed to take place back in September, but has been re-arranged three times and now the two sides will finally meet at the Easy As HGV Stadium.
The last time the two sides met this season was a very close game, with Farnborough edging it 1-0, thanks to a penalty from Mason Bloomfield in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
Boro managed to grind out a tough 1-0 win against Hampton & Richmond Borough at the weekend, thanks to a wonderful goal from Jonathon Page. The result put The Yellows one step closer to the Play-Off places. With a win over their next opponents, Boro will rise into the Play-Offs, unless St Albans City and Havant & Waterlooville play out a draw.
Concord Rangers are currently bottom of The Vanarama National League South and are nine points from safety, but have only played 34 games so far this term. So, a win for them will be crucial for any chances at survival they have. In their previous fixture, The Beach Boys lost 0-3 away to Hemel Hempstead Town and have only won two games this year, a 2-1 win away at Weymouth, and 1-0 at Welling United.
Rob Small’s visitors have similar home and away records this season. They have amassed 15 points on the road this season, winning four games, drawing three, and losing 10. However, the last eight points they have managed to collect, all came on their travels.
The last time Farnborough played at home against Concord Rangers was a 0-3 defeat for Boro back in April 2015.
Another vital fixture on this tough run in, let’s get another win. Come on Farnborough!
