A tough away trip awaits Boro as they travel to The Beveree Stadium to take on Hampton & Richmond Borough.

It was a great return to winning ways for The Yellows in midweek as they defeated Slough Town 4-1, thanks to a Tommy Willard hat-trick.

Mel Gwinnett’s hosts are currently on a very impressive four-game winning streak that has lifted them up the table, and out of a potential relegation battle.

The two sides have already met twice this season. The first game being played in the FA Trophy, seeing Farnborough coming away with the win thanks to an 89th minute winner from Hisham Kasimu. The second game was a 2-2 draw in the League – a game which Farnborough were dominating.

Ahead of the game, Boro boss Spencer Day spoke about the difficult game that Hampton & Richmond Borough will bring. “They’re in fantastic form, they’ve got a great set of players. The pitch is terrible, and we need to prepare for that, we know it’s going to be a fight.”

“They’re in great form, we know it’s going to be a real battle, and as I said, we’ve just got to take each game as it comes. We will prepare right, we will do our homework, and then it’s down to the players to go out there and, if we do what we did today [against Slough Town], we’ve got every chance.”

The Beavers home form has been a bit of an issue for them this season, only winning six of their 18 home games, losing seven, with five draws to go along with that.

Meanwhile, Boro’s away record continues to be one of the most impressive parts of the season winning nine of the 18 away games played so far this term, losing six and drawing just three.

Another game, another chance to close the gap to those in the Play-Off places. Come on Farnborough!
