Farnborough return to action after Saturday’s postponement, as they travel to The Thornbury Surfacing Stadium to take on Chippenham Town.
This game is one of the most crucial games in Boro’s season. A win could put Spencer Day’s men up to 6th, level on points with St Albans City, with a game still in hand after the Worthing clash was postponed.
The Yellows will hope that the postponement of the Worthing game will bring some much needed rest for the group after a tough schedule. However, they will hope that the momentum they have picked up in recent weeks won’t be hindered.
The two sides met just over two weeks ago at the Easy As HGV Stadium, with Chippenham Town coming out 1-0 winners thanks to a penalty from Matthew McClure.
Since that game, both teams are undefeated, with Farnborough winning with their three games since. The Bluebirds have won two games; beating Welling United and Weymouth 3-2, and drawing 1-1 to Eastbourne Borough and St Albans City who they played on Saturday.
Chippenham Town have had an incredible run of form as of and are currently on a run of 14 games without defeat, including the win over Boro.
The run that Gary Horgan’s side are on has completely transformed their season and taken them 12 points clear of the relegation zone and up to 14th in the table.
Tuesday’s hosts have a fantastic home record this season, losing just four games at home all season. They have also collected 8 wins and 8 draws at The Thornbury Surfacing Stadium.
Another big game, another three points needed. Come on Farnborough!
