Farnborough return to action this weekend as they travel to Princes Park to take on a struggling Dartford side.
The Yellows managed to win their first game of the season last time out, beating Hemel Hempstead Town 2-1 in a close encounter.
The win lifted Boro up to 11th in The Vanarama National League South and will hope to be the confidence boost the side needs in order to compete at the top of the division.
The Darts have had a tricky start to the season and are without a win in their first three games. In their most recent fixture, Alan Dowson’s men played out a 1-1 draw with Hampton & Richmond Borough – a game which saw forward Brandon Barzey receive a late red card.
Farnborough Manager Spencer Day had this to say about this weekend’s opposition: “People will criticise and say ‘oh well look at their early results’. They will be there or thereabouts.”
“They’re a great club, great place to play football. Their pitch is amazing.”
“They will click and we’ve got to make sure they don’t click against us. I think they’re probably quite similar to us in a way. They’ve got good players; we’ve got good players. They’ve got some injuries. So, you just have to go out there and prepare properly, which we will do.”
Boro lost 3-1 away at Dartford last season, goals from Maxwell Statham, Luke Coulson and Harvey Bradbury made it 3-0, before Harry Parsons got one back for The Yellows.
It was a good win last time out, let’s hope for an even better performance against Dartford. Come on Farnborough!
