Farnborough return to action for their first midweek game of the season as Hemel Hempstead Town make the trip to the Saunders Transport Community Stadium.
It’s been a difficult start to the season for Boro. They sit 18th in the table after the first two games, after a defeat on the opening day against Chelmsford City, and a 1-1 draw against Eastbourne Borough in the first home match of the season.
The draw saw a lot of controversy however, with Boro denied two clear penalties which potentially cost them all three points.
On the flipside, The Tudors have had a very good start to the season, beating both Yeovil Town and Welling United 1-0, and they will prove to be a tough customer for The Yellows.
Speaking ahead of the game, Spencer Day had this to say: “The most important thing is we have to recover; they are in absolute bits.”
“One thing we know about Hemel and the way that Bradley [Quinton] does his sides, is that they will run and run and be as fit as you like.”
“It’s a big ask, a big turnaround, clearly there’s going to be a number of changes. We’ve got to look at the shape with who’s available.”
Boro struggled against Hemel Hempstead Town last season, losing 1-0 on the road, and suffering a 1-2 defeat at home.
Let’s put a difficult start to the season behind us and get that first win of the season. Come on Farnborough!
