The popular midfielder is back in Hampshire following a stint with Scottish Championship outfit Ayr United.

Pendlebury will be best remembered by the Boro faithful for his spectacular strikes from distance – most notably a memorable free-kick away to Wrexham in The Emirates FA Cup Second Round Proper last season.

Having his career at Marlow United, Olly then moved to Reading where he progressed through the Academy system.

Represented England at Under 15 and Under 16 level, contributing with a goal in a win against the USA.

He signed his professional contract with The Royals at the age of 17 and went on to make his First Team debut in a defeat at Luton Town. At the end of this campaign he made the switch to Wycombe Wanderers, scoring twice on his second start.

Joined Farnborough in September 2022, making his debut in an away victory at Cheshunt.

Boro boss Spencer Day commented:

“I’m glad to get Olly back. It’s adds further depth and experience to the squad after he impressed us last season.”

The signing is subject to international clearance and therefore Olly will not be available for selection for this afternoon’s home game.
