Farnborough continue their search for a first away win of the season as they travel to Wiltshire to take on Chippenham Town.

The Yellows were unable to play at the weekend due to the poor weather conditions. This dropped Spencer Day’s side down to sixth in the table, as Torquay United and Hampton & Richmond Borough both won.

Tuesday’s hosts lifted themselves up to 15th in the table at the weekend, thanks to a 4-2 win over Eastbourne Borough. Mark Beard’s side took the lead through Fletcher Holman, before Caine Bradbury equalised right before half-time. After the break, Matthew McClure gave The Bluebirds the lead from the spot, before Bradbury got his second of the match. Eastbourne Borough pulled one back through Leone Gravata, but Craig Fasanmade made it 4-2 to Chippenham Town in stoppage time to ensure all three points went to the home side.

The trip to The Thornbury Surfacing Stadium sees Boro meeting some familiar faces. Defender Freddie Grant had three spells at Boro and played 37 times last season for The Yellows, scoring twice. Midfielder Jake Evans also had a spell at Boro in the 2017-18 season, playing 16 times and scoring twice.

Chippenham Town did the double over Farnborough last season, winning the first game in Hampshire 0-1, thanks to a goal from Matthew McClure. The return fixture ended 2-1 to The Bluebirds, with Joe Parker getting the winner 17 minutes before the end.

Gary Horgan’s men have struggled at home this season, only picking up three wins on home soil so far this season. Four defeats on their own patch and one draw means the Wiltshire outfit have the 15th best record at home this season.

Another difficult away test awaits. Let’s get that first away win this season. Come on Farnborough!
