The Club would like to offer our condolences to Lenny’s family and friends at this sad time.

The following tribute has been written by Andrew Tinkler:

Lenny Piper joined Farnborough Town in July 2000 from St Albans City and he went on to play over 80 games in three years at the Boro. He became a fan favourite and was affectionately nicknamed Sir Lenny Piper.

Lenny was also part of the squad to reach the Fourth Round Proper of the FA Cup in 2003, coming on as substitute at Highbury in the defeat to Arsenal. Lenny left the Club at the end of that season with his brother Chris, but always received a hero’s welcome when returning with opposition clubs.

A talented footballer who had the ability to excite a crowd with his skills and eye for goal. Sadly, taken far too young.

May you Rest in Peace.

Ginge.
