For several seasons the club has generously been supplying FaST with a Minibus for away travel, free of charge, whilst it used another Minibus for kit and player transport.

As the football club continues to grow and strengthen it’s financial position, so that it can consider existing within our means at a higher level, some cost cutting has to take place, with funds being redirected.

The Club are purchasing a smaller, more fuel efficient kit van, and consequently they will no longer have a spare Minibus for FaST to use on a regular basis.

Over the last couple of seasons, the Minibus has become popular with both young and old, including some less mobile supporters, and the FaST board felt we should do everything possible to maintain this excellent service which is available to both FaST members and non-members.

After careful consideration by the FaST Board of Directors, we have agreed to purchase the old Minibus in order to continue providing travel to away games for the coming season.

Options of providing the service through hire of Minibusses or Coaches were considered to be prohibitively expensive.

However, due to the additional costs associated with owning the Minibus we need to revise the pricing structure for away travel.

These costs include insurance, road tax, maintenance and repairs. We need to be filling a majority of the seats for all matches for this service to be viable, so it effectively becomes a matter of USE IT OR LOSE IT!

We propose introducing the following tiered pricing arrangements based on distance traveled. We consider this still provides reasonable value for money, whilst encouraging supporters to become FaST members, and still providing discounts for juniors.

Under 120 miles round trip

• FaST Adult Member £10 (Junior £5)
• Non Members £15 (£7.50)

Applies to Boreham Wood, Chesham United, Dorking Wanderers, Hampton & Richmond Borough, Hemel Hempstead Town, Salisbury, Slough Town, St Albans City and Worthing.

Between 120 and 240 miles round trip

• FaST Adult members £15 (Junior £7.50)
• Non Members £20 (£10)

Applies to Aveley, Bath City, Chelmsford City, Chippenham Town, Eastbourne Borough, Enfield Town, Hornchurch, Maidstone United, Tonbridge Angels, Welling United, Weston-Super-Mare, Weymouth.

Over 240 miles round trip

• FaST Adult members £20 (£10)
• Non Members £25 (£12.50)

Applies to Torquay United and Truro City.

Cup and Pre-Season games will be priced according to distance traveled.

Bookings will continue to be taken in the usual manner through Kelly Jobber (07946 751133), with hopefully enough interest to start running the Minibus to the Pre-Season Friendlies in July.
