Back for his third spell in Hampshire, Edon is now a Farnborough player, having departed National League outfit Hartlepool United.
Popular Pruti made 27 Boro appearances last season, scoring twice in March victories over Bath City and Aveley.
The towering six-foot tall central defender was on the books of Stevenage and Burnley as a youngster, before moving on to Brentford B via Non-League sides Hanwell Town and Slough Town.
Capped by Albania at U19 and U21 level, he joined the Pools in January 2023, where he stayed until his departure this summer.
We are delighted to welcome Edon back for what is shaping up to be another exciting season at the Saunders Transport Community Stadium.
Edon explained to the Club’s Media why he chose to return to Boro:
“Unfinished business really. We got so close to the Play-Offs last season. We missed out by just a point, so I think it’s only right to come here this season, get in the Play-Offs and push on.
Talking about objectives for the new season, he said: “Individually, I’d like to keep as many clean sheets as possible. I really like having a defensive record to be proud of. Score a few goals – especially set pieces – that would be great to get.
“As as team, obviously to win as many football matches as possible. Go far in the Cup – that would be great. Get a Cup run going, I definitely think we’ve got the players to do so. There’s so much talent and so much calibre with that players that we’ve signed.
“I like to bring more of what I did last year, especially towards the back end. Being aggressive, defending the box, trying to dominate my opponent and being an all-round decent defender!”
After getting his second signing of the month over the line, Farnborough Manager Spencer Day added:
“I’m delighted we have at last got this done!
“I’ve pushed for it and of course he knows us well.
“Another young player looking to go well for Boro and bounce back into the EFL.”
Edon has been allocated shirt number 8.
