Match Sponsor: In memory of Paul Bellwood

Saturday’s home game with Aveley is sponsored in memory of Farnborough supporter Paul Bellwood.

Paul Bellwood, or Bellers, as he was known to everyone, moved to Farnborough in the early 1980’s and started supporting Boro shortly afterwards, after becoming friends with other young fans he met at Cove Senior School.

Bellers soon became a familiar face both at home and away games and could always be found in the middle of the main group of PRE boys.

Always up for a drink and a laugh, Bellers was popular amongst his peers and was usually at the centre of many comedic situations, and was even mascot (aged 40!) for a game against Woking.

Bellers moved to Bedfordshire in 2010 when he met Mandy who he later married, and he then became a father to Jessie and Evie. Subsequently his visits to Cherrywood Road became less frequent, but his enthusiasm for Boro remained.

Bellers left us in May following a short illness. He is missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
