Ben joined Farnborough in June and went on to make three First Team appearances in yellow and blue, following an injury setback in Pre-Season.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a loan spell with Southern League Premier South outfit Chertsey Town last month, where scored once in four starts.
Mason now heads to Bobby Wilkinson’s Hemel Hempstead Town on a permanent basis.
Manager Spencer Day explained: “Sadly, we’re saying goodbye to Ben Mason, who is signing for another National League South Club.
“Ben is so unfortunate with us. Sometimes, things just don’t work. If you think about it, he’s been with us the best part of a year. I don’t think he’s actually started a competitive game.
“He’s had so many injuries, he’s desperate to play, he’s a dedicated right-back and we’ve been rotating fairly equally between wings-backs and a back four, so I couldn’t give him the minutes that he wants.
“He’s come out of Wimbledon, had so many injuries and he’s a great, great lad. I didn’t think the loan was the right thing. It’s just not worked out and of course, we come back to the budget.
“All we can do is wish him all the best. He needs a clear run of injuries to get fully, fully match fit, but he’s got a great opportunity.
“He’s such a good lad. His attitude in the summer; he was desperate to do well. Sometimes things just don’t work out, however well you try. That’s a shame, but I’m sure it’s the right decision for all parties. We’ve got cover in these areas at the moment.”
We thank Ben for his time with us and wish him all the best with his future in the game.
Watford loanee Jake Watkiss has also returned to his parent Club, following an injury.
