Boro boss Spencer Day has sealed a deal to bring one of his key targets to the Saunders Transport Community Stadium for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign.
Pemi is a key part of The Posh’s Under 21 side and has spent the previous six months on loan at Boston United in The National League, where he has scored three times in 29 appearances.
The powerful frontman earned himself a move to the Sky Bet League One outfit last January, having been a regular scorer for Biggleswade in Southern League Division One Central.
Adejoru caught the eye of Peterborough United’s Director of Football Barry Fry with 12 goals in as many games, including four goals in an emphatic FA Cup victory over Maldon & Tiptree.
He was handed his First Team debut for The Posh, away at Wycombe Wanderers, on 10 February 2024.
A fresh face to bolster The Yellows squad during this busy time of the season, Pemi is available for this afternoon’s away fixture at Aveley.
Manager Spencer Day commented: “Really excited! One of the three main target that I’ve been going for. It’s been long-winded.
“Look, there’s a little bit of a punt on him. He’s young, he’s come from Step Four when he was 18, scoring goals for fun.
“We’ve looked at a lot of videos. He needs a chance, but he’s very exciting.
“He’s huge, really powerful and he’s a proper old school nine, so he gives us something very different.”
“He’s buzzing to be here. We’re very grateful to Peterborough United. Give him a little bit of time. I hope he hits the ground running really hard.
“He’s going to be a great threat in both boxes. Potentially here we’ve got a very exciting nine for the rest of the season.”
Adejoru has been allocated shirt number 24.
