This weekend Farnborough Women embark on their latest quest for silverware, returning to Stoneham Lane Football Complex for the Hampshire FA Women’s Trophy Final 2024/25.
Craig Shields’ side will be keen to add to their collection of the Hampshire County Women’s Football League Invitational Cup less than a fortnight ago.
Boro remain on course for back-to-back HCWFL titles, despite a challenging few weeks with injuries to some key players.
Sharpshooters Esme Parsons and Ellie Stalley have worked their way back onto the pitch for the run-in, but centre-back Georgia Stalley has missed recent games through injury.
Young midfielder Jodie Sawyer has even bravely donned the gloves of late in the absence of number one Morgan Palmer.
Looking to round off another successful season on the pitch, Farnborough Women will really need that extra support in an exciting Trophy Final on Sunday afternoon.
Please come down to Stoneham Lane Football Complete to support Craig and the team on their travels.
Against The Street this season
League rivals Andover New Street Ladies stand in Farnborough’s way on Sunday, with the two sides having already faced each other earlier in the season.
HCWFL Division 1
The Yellows won the first meeting 4-0 away from home last October, courtesy of an Ellie Stalley hat-trick and a Jemma Chapman goal.
NHDFA Cup
Boro were also drawn away to Andover New Street Ladies in the Semi-Finals, but were knocked out of the competition after losing 1-2 back in February.
Holders of competition
Farnborough Women are the current holders of the Hampshire FA Women’s Trophy, having overcome Bursledon Ladies 3-1 this time last year.
Goals from Ellie Stalley (2) and Esme Parsons saw The Yellows add their name to the 2023/24 Trophy on a sunny afternoon at Stoneham Lane Football Complex.
