Prolific Poleon departs Ebbsfleet United having netted 81 goals in 167 games across four season in The National League South and The National League.
Not only a 2022/23 National League South winner, Dominic is also a Saint Lucia International and has scored three times for his country having just made two appearances to date.
The exciting striker started his Youth career out with Chelsea and then Southend United, before catching the eye of Leeds United in 2010.
He impressed in The Whites’ Youth team and was rewarded with a place in Neil Warnock’s First Team squad for the start of the 2012/13 campaign.
Poleon made his Leeds United debut as a substitute in the League Cup against Shrewsbury Town that August, and earned his first start in a 2-1 home victory with Nottingham Forest a month later where he scored the opening goal.
Loan spells at Bury and Sheffield United followed, coinciding with managerial changes at Elland Road. He made 29 First Team appearance, scoring three times during his two years up in west Yorkshire.
Dominic was a deadline way signing for League One Oldham Athletic in September 2014 and he went on to make 60 appearances and score 8 times for The Latics under five different Managers.
A move down south to AFC Wimbledon was Poleon’s next destination in July 2016. He turned out 49 times for the League One outfit, scoring 13 times throughout that season.
He then moved to Bradford City for the next season as The Bantams secured an 11th place finish in League One, with Dominic netting 6 times in 32 appearances.
Poleon was snapped up by League Two Crawley Town in July 2018 and made 30 appearances before moving to Newport County a year later. He was sent on loan to Dover Athletic at the opposite end of the country where he scored once in six appearances and was eventually released The Exiles at the end of that season.
With all that Football League experience under his belt, he dipped into non-league permanently with National League South side Ebbsfleet United in February 2021.
Poleon impressively finished up as The Fleet’s Golden Boot winner in his first three seasons (2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24), accumulating a whopping 36 goals in their National League South title-winning season that hit 103 points.
Including four hat-tricks amongst all those goals, Dominic won The National League South Player of the Season 2022/23.
Born in England, Poleon is of St Lucian descent and he made his international debut in a 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup Preliminary Round defeat to Martinique. A more successful second cap saw him bag a hat-trick in a 5-1 victory over Sint Maarten the following September.

An over the moon Manager Spencer Day said: “Just WOW!
“What a phenomenal double signing of proven goalscorers in the National League South and National League.”
“Quite frankly I didn’t think it could happen, but thanks for the Directors for stepping in. This is a real statement of intent and on two-year deals.
“Both lads are desperate to push on after less inspiring seasons but to me that hunger was a big factor in getting them here.
“Can’t wait to get going and this is some firepower we have the club now!
Poleon has been allocated shirt number 14.
