Popular striker Mason Bloomfield is back at the Saunders Transport Community Stadium after a short stint with us at the start of last season.
Looking back to before Bloomfield’s first spell with Farnborough, he started his career with Dagenham & Redbridge back in 2014, before dipping into Non-League with the likes of Chelmsford City, Billericay Town, Grays Athletic, Witham Town, Brentwood Town and Aveley.
He then enjoyed loan stints in the EFL with Crawley Town and season-long spells in The National League with Barnet and Hartlepool United, before he signed for Bromley in February 2022.
Bloomfield scored twice in 13 appearances for The Ravens and is a Wembley winner, having helped Bromley to FA Trophy glory in a 1-0 victory over Wrexham in the Final infront of over 46,000 spectators, which is where he caught the eye of Boro boss Spencer Day.
Westminster-born Bloomfield was a crucial part of Boro’s end to the 2022/23 National League South season – where the team narrowly missed out on the Play-Off places. He scored 11 times in 21 appearances after signing late in December 2022.

The sharpshooter left Farnborough following the conclusion of the 2022/23 season. He spent the entirety of the following campaign at Hampton & Richmond Borough, scoring 10 goals in 39 appearances. The Beavers fell short of The National League South Play-Offs for the second season in a row.
Mason came back to The Yellows last summer and made nine competitive appearances before his stay was sadly cut short due to family matters.
Manager Spencer Day explained Bloomfield’s return: “So thrilled to get Mason back and that his situation has improved which is far more important than football.
“A proven NLS and above number nine who is so popular on and off the pitch.”
“Easiest conversation of the summer and can’t wait to get him him firing back to his best in a Boro shirt!”
Mason will wear shirt number 26.
