Farnborough look to continue their unbeaten run as they take on a high-flying Dartford side who are unbeaten in their last 11 matches.

After the memorable FA Cup win last weekend, Farnborough were brought back down to reality on Tuesday night after drawing 0-0 at home to Eastbourne Borough. A result that saw The Yellows rise to 16th in The Vanarama National League South table, continuing an unbeaten run that now stretches across nine games.

However, Farnborough now face one of the toughest sides in the League, Dartford, who have won 10 of their last 11 games and sit second in The Vanarama National League South, two points behind unbeaten leaders Ebbsfleet United.

After Tuesday’s 0-0 stalemate, Farnborough Manager Spencer Day said his side “will really need to get back to the levels we’ve been at to compete with sides like Dartford”, after what wasn’t his side’s best performance of the season, which is something that’ll need to be improved come Saturday afternoon.

Day was also extremely complimentary of the opponents this weekend, saying that the game will be “a massive challenge” for his side with Dartford being on such a strong run of form as of late.

Alan Dowson has been in charge of The Darts since May this year and in the 20 games he has managed, he has a 70% win rate, with 14 wins, one draw and five defeats. Dowson’s backroom staff includes Sky Sports’ legendary Commentator Martin Tyler.

In the previous four meetings between the sides Dartford have beaten Boro three times, with Farnborough only claiming just the one win, a 2-1 home win all the way back in the 2010/11 season. Dartford won the return fixture that season 4-1. Boro didn’t do much better in the 2011/12 season, losing 1-2 at home and then 0-3 away.
