Boro’s new striker secures a move to North East Hampshire in time for the New Year’s Day clash at home to Hungerford Town.
Bloomfield started his career with Dagenham & Redbridge back in 2014, before dipping into Non-League with the likes of Chelmsford City, Billericay Town, Grays Athletic, Witham Town, Brentwood Town and Aveley.
The Westminster born striker made a return to The Daggers in March 2017, before earning a move to Championship Norwich City the following Summer. During his time in East Anglia, loan spells up and down the country followed at Hamilton Academical, AFC Fylde and then Crawley Town.
Mason became a new recruit for Hartlepool United for the start of the 2020/21 season, where he scored twice in 22 appearances. A move to Barnet materialised at the start of last season as he found the net three times on 20 occasions, before switching to Bromley in February 2022 for an undisclosed fee. Bloomfield scored twice in 13 appearances for The Ravens and is a Wembley winner, having helped Bromley to FA Trophy glory in a 1-0 victory over Wrexham in the Final infront of over 46,000 spectators.
Upon signing, Mason said: “It feels great. I’m really looking forward to the new challenge. I can see where the team are heading in the League and hopefully I can add to that.”
Manager Spencer Day added: “I’m pleased to add a striker of Mason’s pedigree. A tall strong striker who is quick, hard-working and fits this squad’s mantra well.
“We all know we need another couple of strikers to join Hish and I’ve been working with Bromley to get a deal done for some time. Massive thanks to Woody and their Board for their support and we look forward to getting Mason firing again after a few stop start years.
“I’m still looking to add one more high quality striker and hope to update everyone in the January window. Happy New Year everyone!”
Mason will be allocated shirt number 26.
