Farnborough return to action with a trip to Dulwich Hamlet in a pivotal mid-table clash.

Boro started 2023 off with a crucial win over bottom of the table Hungerford Town having previously drawn to them to end off 2022. Extending the unbeaten run in the League to 11 matches.

The win lifted The Yellows up to 13^th in the table and just nine points off the Play-Off places, with four games in hand over seventh placed Eastbourne Borough.

However, all focus must be on the trip to Dulwich Hamlet who sit just behind two points behind Farnborough in 14^th and have gone five games unbeaten in the League, including a 2-1 away victory over Dover Athletic to start the year.

In the first fixture this season, the sides played out a controversial 1-1 draw on the second match day of the season. Farnborough Manager Spencer Day was heavily critical of the match officials after that game after what was a very good Farnborough performance and a game that they probably deserved to win.

Looking ahead to the game, the Boro boss had nothing but good comments about the opposition, saying they are “a really big, lovely club.” Spencer also went onto talk about how hard the trip to south London will be. “They’ve changed the system, changed the manager, they’re unbeaten in December, that tells you what you need to know… It’s another tough task, but every game is.”

Day added: “They’re in great form, they’re climbing the table… but it’s another exciting game.”

Farnborough’s most recent trip to Dulwich Hamlet was a 2-2 draw back in the 2015/2016 season, with the home game that season ending in a 1-4 defeat. A win this season would be the first time Farnborough have beaten Dulwich Hamlet.
