Farnborough return home this weekend for The Vanarama National League South action, as St Albans City make the trip to the Saunders Transport Community Stadium.

Boro drew 2-2 away at Welling United last time out. Dominic Odusanya opened the scoring for the hosts, before Olly Pendlebury hit back for The Yellows just before half-time. Thomas Bramble scored in the 87th minute to give The Wings a 2-1 lead. Dan Gifford equalised for the visitors in the 90th minute to ensure that the points were shared.

Currently without a win in four League games, Farnborough have lost one and drawn the other three over recent weeks. This difficult run has left The Yellows 14th in The Vanarama National League South table.

Spencer Day’s side currently have the fifth best home form in the division and are unbeaten in five League games at the Saunders Transport Community Stadium so far this term.

St Albans City fell to a 2-3 home defeat against Eastbourne Borough in their last Vanarama National League South match. Mitchell Weiss gave The Saints a 1-0 lead inside the first minute, which was cancelled out at the beginning of the second half by Zak Emmerson. Dylan Fage restored the hosts’ lead three minutes later, before Zak Emmerson scored twice more to complete a hat-trick and hand his side all three points.

That loss gave David Noble’s side their first defeat in four matches, after a draw away at Welling United and victories over Dover Athletic, Dartford and Chelmsford City. The defeat leaves St Albans City 10th in The Vanarama National League South.

Saturday’s visitors to Hampshire have picked up seven points on the road so far this season; having won two, drawn one and lost two games on their travels.

The Saints did the double over Boro last season, winning 1-2 in Hampshire, before taking all three points from the return fixture in a 2-0 victory on the final day of the season.

A crucial game against last seasons Play-Off finalists. A big home win is needed. Come on Farnborough!
