Neil has a huge family connection as a past player and of course with his Father Keith.
Having completed just under 10 years as Joint-Manager at Slough Town, including promotion to The Vanarama National League South, Neil brings a wealth of extensive experience back to Boro.
Farnborough Manager Spencer Day added:
“We’ve been speaking since the summer and I’ve had an open invitation for him to come and join us.
“I’m delighted that he finally agreed a few weeks ago after a well earned few months off from the craziness that is football management.
“Probably the worst kept secret is the Bakes return!”
“With Jon [Reed] leaving us a few months back, I’ve always believed we need to add more in our Management team to keep the Club progressing in a League that keeps raising the bar with many teams are full-time or hybrid.
“The most important thing to me in the Management group is how we all get on and I’ve known Bakes for some time.
“I’ve no doubt he will add a lot here as we look to continue an overall very successful few years.
“Welcome home Bakes!”
