Farnborough play their second consecutive away game as they travel to North Somerset to take on Weston-super-Mare. This game was originally supposed to take place back in February, however was postponed due to poor weather.

Boro head into the game on a five-game winning run, most recently beating Dover Athletic 3-1. The Kent outfit took the lead in the 14th minute through Nick Dembele, but from there it was all Boro. Aaron Kuhl equalised from the penalty spot, making amends for his miss against Aveley. Ricky Holmes then put The Yellows ahead just before half-time. Kuhl made it 3-1 in the 68th minute with his ninth goal of the season. Farnborough were able to control the game from there and take all three points. Boro now sit just three points off the Play-Off places.

Unfortunately, this was Aaron Kuhl’s last game for Farnborough, as his parent club Dorking Wanderers recalled him from his loan. Kuhl scored 9 times in 28 appearances for The Yellows, including his brace at the weekend. We wish Aaron the best of luck as he returns to Marc White’s side in their bid for survival.

Weston-super-Mare head into Tuesday’s game off the back of a three-game losing streak, losing to St Albans City, Welling United and most recently Maidstone United. The Seagulls held on until the 71st minute against The Stones, but a Reiss Greenidge goal proved to be the difference between the two sides.

Scott Bartlett’s side currently sit 15th in the table on 48 points.

Ahead of Tuesday’s trip to The Optima Stadium, Boro boss Spencer Day had this to say: “I think they’ve had a fantastic first season. I think they’re a fantastic footballing side.”

“They play possession-based football after the first phase and they’re a really good side and they can turn it on and beat anybody.”

Farnborough and Weston-super-Mare have already met twice this season already, both games coming at the Saunders Transport Community Stadium. Boro won the first match 3-0 in the League, thanks to goals from Alfie Pavey, Connor Cullen and Ryan Upward.

The second game took place in The Emirates FA Cup and Reuben Reid’s 11th minute goal proved to be the difference as The Seagulls progressed to the next Round.

Home form hasn’t been great this season for the Somerset outfit, with the fourth worst home record in the Division, only picking up 22 out of their 48 points at home.

Meanwhile, Boro have picked up their away form in recent weeks, winning three games in a row on the road.
