Jake Watkiss

Wing-back or striker Jake has signed on loan from Sky Bet Championship Watford, with the deal running until 18 January 2025.

The promising young Hornets Academy player has already scored twice in the Professional Development League so far this season, in addition to a goal against Everton in the Under 21 Premier League Cup.

Farnborough Manager Spencer Day explained: “I’m very grateful to Watford. People are shocked; Watford are normally tough to deal with on their loans and they accepted it.

“He’s a left wing-back, quite attacking. He’s come in here and I think you can see his quality straight away.

“We’ve signed that loan until January, but we’ll see how that goes. As I said, I’m very grateful to his Agent and Watford for assisting us with that.”

Watkiss has been allocated shirt number 24.

Ben Acey

The 20-year-old playmaker signed registration forms early this week, having left Bristol City at the end of last season.

Acey spent time with his navite Guernsey in 2021/22, scoring four times in 27 apperances in his debut season.

He has since spent time on loan at Taunton Town and also had a brief stint at Weston-super-Mare a few weeks back.

Boro boss Spencer Day added: “Ben played in the Bracknell game. He’s a lad who was at Bristol City. An attacking eight/ten.

“He’s come in really for a couple of weeks. We’re looking at him to see if he can earn a more permanent deal.

“He’s a player; very similar to what we’ve got, but we’re asking players to get through a staggering amount of minutes at the moment. We’re so thin on the ground, so he’s come in.

“He’s comitted to come here. He lives in Guenrsey, so all credit to him.”

Acey will wear shirt number 23.

Dan Bradshaw

Full-back Bradshaw has joined Southern League Premier South outfit Winchester City on a one-month loan deal.

Dan returns to his former Club and has six games to get stuck into over the coming weeks.

Craig Davis’ Citizens have three consecutive away journeys up next; Tavistock in the FA Trophy, followed by trips to Hanwell Town and Frome Town, before hosting Eversley & California in the Servio Men’s Senior Cup and then local clashes against Basingstoke Town and Havant & Waterlooville in November.

Good luck, Bradders!
