Boro boss Spencer Day made highly sought-after defender or midfielder Richard Chin a new addition to his team in August 2024.

Chin is an Academy graduate of The Addicks – who he has played his football for since under 9 level; eventually leading to 18 senior appearances for the League One side.

Comfortable at full-back or in midfield, Richard gained experience in The Vanarama National League South over the past two years with loan spells at Dartford and Bath City – where he more recently found the net in just a small number of appearances.

His versatility on the pitch makes one of the first names on the teamsheet wherever he goes.

The former Charlton Athletic youngster penned a deal at the Saunders Transport Community Stadium, where he will also link up with former Addicks winger Ricky Holmes.
