The 20-year-old penned a loan move across to north east Hampshire on the eve of the 2025/26 Enterprise National League South season.

Toby has been with The Addicks since the age of seven, where he signed for the Academy at Under 9 level after initially only training with the Club.

Boro’s new defender rose through the ranks at The Valley and went on to captain their Under 18s to a third successive Professional Development League 2 South title in 2022/23.

The gifted left-back earned his first professional contract in May 2023, saying “signing my first professional contract is something I’ve dreamt of” at the time.

Bower will have caught the eye of Farnborough supporters in the July Pre-Season Friendly with a Charlton Athletic XI, where he struck an impressive opening goal past Boro’s very own Jack Turner.

Early in January 2026, Toby extended his half-season loan until the end of the campaign.
