Farnborough look to bounce back from a tough run of results as Slough Town finally come to the Easy As HGV Stadium.

It’s been four games without a win now for Boro, after a 0-1 home defeat to Chippenham Town, putting a severe dent in the Play-Off hopes.

Opponents Slough Town sit 17th in the table, have won two of their previous five games with victories over Hungerford Town and Concord Rangers. They did, however, lose their most recent game 2-0 away at Eastbourne Borough.

Speaking after the Chippenham Town result, Yellows boss Spencer Day spoke about what his side needs to do in order to get a result on Tuesday: “All this team must do is focus 100% on Tuesday night, which is, I’ve told the players, like a Cup final for us now.”

“He’s [Scott Davies] managed to keep an exceptional group of players. You know, 13/14 outstanding National South players. It’ll be a very, very difficult game, and it’s another team we haven’t played this season. They’ve got some great players, and if you’re not on it they’ll go and beat you. We need to focus on ourselves, and recovery, and try to dig really deep to bring it back to where we were.”

Farnborough last took on Slough Town in the 2017/18 season, losing both fixtures 5-1 away and 1-2 at home. The two sides also played out a 1-1 Pre-Season Friendly draw in July 2021, before the 2021/22 season started.

Boro welcomed new signing Tommy Willard on loan from Aldershot Town, before the game against Chippenham Town, to bring some much-needed depth during this tough run of fixtures.

Let’s hope for a much-needed win. Come on Farnborough!
